We import and market our brands through specialist retailers, custom design specialists and integrators across Australia, and we offer a wide range of premium solutions in home cinema, multi-room AV, 2-channel hi-fi, and more.

We pride ourselves on supporting our national dealer network with first-rate customer support, product advice, logistics, and after sales service, and we only supply the best specialist dealers and integrators.  Our team has deep industry experience in both wholesale distribution and retail, and we all share a passion for quality product engineering and technology.

Audio Active Australia is the exclusive wholesale distributor for brands including Paradigm, Anthem, Martin Logan, Luxman, Monster accessories, Theory Audio Design, PRO Audio Technologies, European Audio Team, Storm Audio, Row One and Sony audio-visual products.

Audio Active opened its partner Experience Centre in Port Melbourne back in 2019.  This facility is specifically designed to support our specialist retail and custom integration partners.  This centre houses our leading brands, where our partners can be trained and experience some of our premium products.

Active has previously been awarded SmartHouse Distributor of the Year, 1st place in the SmartCompany Smart50 Awards, and BRW Fast Starter.

JEREMY BOURIS

Managing Director

Jeremy has a lifelong passion for quality audio and electronics products. He worked as a finance executive at JB Hi-Fi prior to launching Audio Active in 2010, and has previously operated an online hi-fi business and worked in JB Hi-Fi stores on the sales floor. Jeremy is a Chartered Accountant with Arts and Commerce degrees from The University of Melbourne, and he has worked as a consultant for professional services firms Deloitte, EY and PA Consulting.

MELANIE BOURIS

Director

Melanie brings over 15 years experience in finance, process improvement and project management.  She has previously worked in banking, energy and government sectors. she is specialised in Lean Six Sigma, cost optimisation and business transformation. Her expertise in process improvement and business transformation has consistently yielded remarkable results, optimising operations and enhancing overall efficiency. Beyond work, she is also a qualified piano teacher, sharing her knowledge and love for music with others.  

BRUCE THIERBACH

General Manager Sales & Marketing

Bruce has over 30 years' experience in Consumer Electronics industry. Joining JB Hi-Fi in 1993, Bruce held senior executive and management roles in buying, marketing, sales, merchandising, training and operations. Over that time Bruce has worked with and grown most of today's leading international CE brands. With a passion for music and photography, Bruce believes that everyone should experience quality audio and video. To achieve this we must entertain and introduce our audience to quality brands, products and services.

STEVE BEHRENS

Regional Sales Manager (NSW/QLD/ACT)

Steve has 20 years wholesale sale experience, starting out selling carpet, before moving into an on road sales role selling security products. Steve has spent the past 10 years working in the consumer electronics industry and has held sales roles with Grundig, Panasonic and more recently Synergy Audio.

COREY STEERS

Regional Sales Manager (VIC/TAS)

Coming from New Zealand, Corey has been involved in the Hi-fi Audio and Consumer Electronics Industry for a number of years. Corey's experience comes from a variety of area's including Warehouse Person, Customer Services Manager and Sales Representative. Corey has been involved in Audio for most of his life, playing a number of instruments from an early age. After completing a Degree in Audio Engineering at M.A.I.N.Z (Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand), Corey continues to write and record music in his spare time.

KENT HARVEY

Regional Sales Manager (WA/SA)

Brings over 20 years of industry experience in both the wholesale and retail sectors. Kent lives and breathes great audio and is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. His experience will certainly enhance our team in the vibrant WA market.

TRINH DOAN

Internal Sales Coordinator

With her long service within the retail and accounts sectors, Trinh brings a fresh, young outlook to our world of sound and entertainment. Having been introduced to high quality audio from a young age, along with her experience within accounts, Trinh has honed her skills and passions to be a perfect fit within Audio Active. Her easy going and calm demeanor make her an excellent part of our continuously growing team of experienced professionals.

Burak Sunter

Technical Product Specialist

Burak has over 28 years of experience in the industry, after completing his Advanced Certificate in Electronics for HiFi and TV repairs in 1996, he embarked on a career in retail starting with CRT projectors, home cinema design and sales then moving on to high-end Hi-Fi retail and Custom Install market for whole house design and implementation of audio-visual solutions. Burak has a hands-on approach to the systems he has designed and sold over the last three decades including installing, calibrating and commissioning projects.

In his spare time Burak loves movies, gaming, basketball and windsurfing. 

PAUL DAMEVSKI

Accounts Officer

Paul has 30 years professional experience working in accounts and related roles.  He previously worked with ANZ and in the building industry prior to joining Audio Active.  Paul is a movie buff and has an appreciation for quality AV equipment.
